EMAN successfully organised the European Workshop on Optimisation of Radiation Protection in Medicine in Vienna, Austria on June 7-9, 2012.

This EMAN Workshop included the presentation of conclusions and recommendations from the EMAN Project on the optimisation of radiation protection, as well as the discussion of issues related to the optimisation of radiation protection for patients and workers in the medical sector and the future structure and strategies of the network.

Apart from the plenary sessions, a substantial part of the workshop was also dedicated to discussions in three small working groups. The attendees also had the opportunity to present paper abstract posters onsite.

A buffet dinner was held at the workshop venue on the first evening, giving rise to more informal discussion and exchange between the participants, who enjoyed the pleasant ambiance.
